Fazmagoo, a dimension-hopping cosmic wizard cursed with accompanying the most miserable people in the world, takes on Gregory, a deeply insecure man struggling to come to terms with the fact that his girlfriend's ex was extremely well-endowed.
Be happy with what you got. Because it could always be worse.
Fazmagoo, a cosmic wizard cursed to endlessly cure people's misery, crashes into the life of Gregory, a man consumed by insecurity over his girlfriend's well-endowed ex. Fazmagoo's attempts to help lead to a night of debauchery, murder, and ultimately, self-revelation — as Fazmagoo realises he is, in fact, the most miserable being in the universe.
He gives up his cosmic powers to become a normal person. Gets an office job. Immediately regrets it. Then another Fazmagoo shows up for him.
The film blends grounded, handheld live-action with bursts of surreal color. Fazmagoo's world is saturated blues and golds; Gregory's world is muted and ordinary. When they collide, things get messy. Confetti is a visual motif.
A cosmic being in a ratty blue wizard outfit. Cursed to find the most miserable person across time and space and fix their problems. Loves beer. Hates his job. Stores everything under his hat. Catchphrase: "Oh, flinkies!"
A 30-something everyman with one devastating problem: his girlfriend told him her ex was bigger. Goes by Greg. Prefers whisper-saying the word "penis." Surprisingly resilient after witnessing a murder.
A towering Adonis who reads the Book of Corinthians in his spare time. "Not the first time" someone's come to see what he's packing. Things don't end well for Chad.
Fazmagoo's subconscious. It's Fazmagoo but with a beard, sitting in a therapist chair. Had a whole speech planned. Fazmagoo ruined it.
I'm Fazmagoo, and right now you are... the most miserable person across time and space. And I am here to help you. Because I'm Fazmagoo, and that's what I do!
Co-writer, director, and the one steering this ship into the iceberg on purpose. Berlin-based documentary filmmaker who brings the vision, the structure, and the questionable decision-making that turns "we should probably not do this" into "we're definitely doing this."
Co-writer and the man behind the wizard hat. Noa plays Fazmagoo himself, bringing the cosmic misery to life with the kind of commitment that only someone who's been acting in short films since before it was cool (it was never cool) could muster.
Think Rick and Morty meets I Think You Should Leave, filtered through Community's Dean-energy and a dash of Monty Python. The film explores emasculation, insecurity, existentialism, and nihilism — wrapped in a wacky, goofy package with deeper, darker undertones.
